As a cruise consultant, I am often surprised that clients don’t take advantage of the option to plan a cruise as a group. It turns out, that once presented with the group option, the decision to proceed as a group is an easy decision to make.

Actually, smaller groups with as little as  five cabins are the easiest. Our annual cruise for military veterans and family and friends always start out as a group planned for eight to  twelve cabins, and always grows to significantly larger groups. The advantage to our small group planning strategy is that no monies are required for a deposit. Deposits are only required as individuals book into the group, and they are paid by the individuals at that time. As the group leader, one does not have to risk financially if the group does not meet the minium cabins reserved for the cruise. If you need more cabins, your additional guests are added to the group as they join the cruise. Also, if you do organize a group cruise, and your group does not book the planned number of cabins, in most cases, the guest who did join the cruise still enjoy the on board credit the group was assigned. Is it really that easy? Yes, if you have been considering a cruise for a family or school reunion, or with your local tennis association you should contact a certified cruise consultant and ask for more information. Face to face consultations are best, but I have done them on the phone and with video conferences.
